A few weeks ago, I shared my plans to redecorate our master bedroom without repainting the walls. The easiest way to have a high visual change in a bedroom is get new bedding. Our Choice for New Spring Bedding

As we explored the spring bedding options on LushDecor.com, I focused my selection on this criteria:

• New spring bedding needs to be lighter weight for summer months.
• New spring bedding needs to coordinate with sage green walls.
• New spring bedding couldn’t be overly feminine.

As you can imagine, Kent really liked the simple straight lines on the Lush Decor Berlin 3 Piece Quilt Set:

This beautiful khaki striped quilt was also a favorite of several readers. They had valid, wonderful points for me to consider:

• “I like the khaki stripe best in your space, but would pull in some fresh patterned pillows to add a crisp summer feel. Pillows with a white background and some fun florals as well as just solid white but texture would really brighten it up. You could even throw a black one in there.”
• “I would choose the khaki stripe. It is timeless, refreshing, and yet serene. Adding other pillows to change out the look to coordinate with seasonal themes will always allow you to make the room seem ‘new’.”

While I was tempted to go with the Berlin Quilt for our spring bedding, I decided I really wanted something different than we have now. When I saw the Lush Decor Addington 3 Piece Quilt Set I immediately thought SPRING! It is stunning and fresh. As one reader said, “I think the cool blue and green will work the best but still be a change that Kent won’t hate… The khaki is a very safe choice but won’t give you much of a change.” My only concern was whether it would coordinate well with our green walls.

I decided to GO FOR IT and ordered the Addington Quilt Set! I figured worse case if the spring bedding clashed horribly with my sage green walls, I could always use it to replace the bedding in our guest room. The guest room has taupe walls that can coordinate with just about anything. I placed my order last week and was surprised when the box from Lush Decor already arrived this week. I couldn’t wait to open it and see whether I had a match!

Here’s the new quilt in the corner of our room where it shows the darker green accent wall and with the lighter green wall color:

I am thrilled with how wonderful this new spring bedding coordinates with our walls and love how it looks on our queen-sized bed. I ordered a king sized quilt from Lush Decor since I tend to find full/queen quilts to be too small. It hangs over more like a bedspread, but I’d rather have that then for it to be too short.

The 3-piece quilt set comes with two pillow shams. It’s awesome that you don’t have to buy those separately. I am also really pleased with how the new spring bedding coordinates with my khaki colored bedskirt and large accent pillow so I don’t have to replace those.

One simple change from warm winter bedding to bright colorful spring bedding has a dramatic effect on the whole look/feel of the room. Now I’m just anxious for all this snow to melt so I can start using our new quilt for spring and summer!
