Hi everyone, Amanda here from Old House to New Home, sharing one of my go-to quick weeknight dinner ideas, Instant Pot Sausage and Peppers.

The Easiest Instant Pot Sausage and Peppers

We all need lots of quick weeknight dinner recipes in our arsenal right? I love to cook and will spend hours cooking up a fancy meal. But on a Tuesday, after I’ve worked all day and need to get dinner on the table quickly, I turn to one of my go-to’s.

Sausage is one of those meats that I always seem to have on hand and I always have peppers, onions, and tomato sauce, so it’s a no brainer.

Instant Pot Sausage and Peppers

The Instant Pot speeds up dinner even more, and instead of having to simmer the sausage for hours to get it tender, it pressure cooks in only 18 minutes! Pressure cooking has seriously improved my life. I used to stress about squeezing in dinner after work, but now I have the time to make almost anything in a short amount of time!

what to serve with instant pot sausage and peppers

We love sausage and peppers over any type of pasta. My girls love a big heaping bowl of spaghetti with sausage and lots of fresh parmesan cheese. You can also put this sausage on a roll and make sandwiches or serve it in a bowl with some crusty bread on the side.

A big ladle full of sausage, peppers and marinara sauce.
