Repurpose an old pallet into a beautiful wall hanging vase, that can be used indoors or out! Let me show you how easy it is to make.
Hello friends! Michelle back from Our Crafty Mom sharing a really cool pallet wall hanging vase with you. This is the time when everyone is getting outside and decorating their porch and entertaining areas. This easy to make wall decor can be used inside or out, and is so inexpensive to make, using scrap pallet wood.
My dad always has pallets in his shed to use for various projects around his yard. There was one in particular that I spotted and asked if I could have. It had been sitting outside for some time and had a beautiful patina. He not only let me have it, but he broke it up for me too so I could use single slats-thanks Dad!

DIY Tools Needed:
- Hammer
- Nails
Supplies Needed:
- Twine
- Small Glass Bud Vases
- DecoArt Outdoor Living Paint – Picket Fence
- Chip Brush
- Scrap Pallet Wood
- Super Glue Mounting Tape or Picture Hanger
Instructions:
1. Paint the pallet wood.
Paint the pallet wood whatever color you like. I wanted some of the natural patina to show, so I gave it a white wash effect. To achieve this, lightly brush white paint over the pallet, but don’t completely cover it. You can use this same technique with any color paint.
2. tie twine around each mason jar.
Next, tie twine around the individual mason jars, adding a loop for hanging.
3. measure the pallet wood for even spacing.
Measure the length of the pallet wood and mark where each mason jar will be hung.
4. add nails
Add nails where you marked the pallet and hang each mason jar from the twine.
5. Hang the pallet
Decide how you want to hang the pallet. You can add a picture hanger, or use super glue mounting tape like I did. This stuff is seriously strong-and you can use it indoors or out!
Add flowers, real or faux, and enjoy your beautiful pallet wall hanging vase! Once I get my outside space set up, I plan to add this to that area. But, it also looks great indoors. I hope you enjoyed this easy project. Thank you for welcoming me to Ideas for the Home by Kenarry®!
